What are the symptoms for Kernicterus?
Kernicterus is caused due to excessive generation of a yellow pigment called bilirubin in the liver. This is the pigment that also causes Jaundice. So the symptoms for Kernicterus are
jaundice
decreased muscle tone (hypotonic)
increased muscle tone (hypertonic)
arching of the head and back backwards.
fever
mortormental
retardation
olyhydramnios (before birth)
